Our goal is to protect your creativity and innovation. We use our own creativity with pleasure every day to achieve this goal. But we also work hard to help create the conditions that allow creativity to be protected in the first place.
We are committed members of professional associations, where we actively participate in innovations in intellectual property law. Our patent attorneys and lawyers are represented on the boards of Swiss and European associations (VSP, VESPA, epi, INGRES) and of Stop Piracy, the Swiss platform against counterfeiting and product piracy. We are committed to the further development of intellectual property law and actively participate in Swiss and international working groups, e.g. in the framework of the international professional associations AIPPI and FICPI. We regularly attend international conferences and maintain a lively professional exchange with colleagues from around the world.
We consistently maintain contact with patent and trademark offices. We closely monitor and follow developments in topics such as Swissness, trademark piracy, domain names and patent boxes.
We support SMEs and start-ups through our participation in consulting networks, for example the „IP Advisory Network“, and through our teaching activities at the University of St. Gallen and at various universities of applied sciences. Several of our patent attorneys are also accredited as Special Coaches at Innosuisse, the Swiss Innovation Agency.
It is not only the education and training of our own employees that is important to us. We also promote the next generation of our profession, for example by having our specialists lecture at the Centre d’Études Internationales de la Propriété Intellectuelle (CEIPI) at the University of Strasbourg and within the framework of training for future Swiss patent attorneys at the Swiss Federal Institute for Intellectual Property (IPI). Michael Liebetanz was a member of an examination board for the European Qualification Examination for professional representatives before the European Patent Office (EPO) for 12 years.
We have a keen interest in professional exchange. Our attorneys regularly publish in domestic and foreign professional publications and act as co-authors of legal commentaries.
