Cyril R. Dörfler advises and represents clients in all areas of intellectual property law, with a particular focus on trademark and unfair competition law. As a member of the contracts team at Isler & Pedrazzini AG, he also assists with the drafting, negotiation and implementation of complex intellectual property agreements.
He completed his academic training at the University of Bern (BLaw 2017, MLaw 2019) and subsequently worked as a doctoral researcher at the Institute for Economic Law under Prof. Dr Cyrill P. Rigamonti. In 2024, Cyril R. Dörfler published his doctoral thesis on the creator principle (“Schöpferprinzip”) in copyright, patent and design law, in which he addressed fundamental questions concerning the original attribution of intellectual property rights.
In May 2026, Cyril R. Dörfler joined Isler & Pedrazzini AG. Prior to this, he worked as a court clerk at the Regional Court of Bern-Mittelland and at a law firm in Bern. Cyril R. Dörfler was admitted to the bar in the Canton of Bern in 2026 and is admitted to practice before courts in Switzerland.
Since 2022, Cyril R. Dörfler has also been an editor with the Swiss intellectual property law journal (sic!) and publishes his works there.
